The Central Oregon Spinners and Weavers Guild (COSW) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has been active for 50+ years with over 100 members to network, share, learn and teach fiber arts. The guild is located throughout Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson Counties in Oregon to help anyone interested in fiber arts. Topics include but are not limited to;

  • Weaving
  • Spinning
  • Dyeing
  • Tatting
  • Felting
  • Sewing
  • Lace making
  • Basketry

Members have access to a vast library with books covering many of the fiber related arts, weaving, spinning, felting, basketry, beading just to name a few topics.  The guild also maintains an equipment check out resource for active guild members.  The equipment includes tools for fiber preparation, spinning and weaving. COSW encourages all ages to experience the wonderful world of fiber arts. We offers a family membership to encourage all ages to join in the fun.  2019 promises to be a year filled with wonderful workshops and education from our local instructors.

COSW Creed

To accomplish this, COSW offers workshops throughout the year as well as participating in activities in in public places.  Guild members support the central Oregon art community by demonstrating the art of weaving and spinning in a number of public venues. You will the guild in the fiber arts room at the county fairs, in public libraries, and art walks.
