The Central Oregon Spinners and Weavers Guild (COSW) has about 90 members from a broad region east of the Cascade Mountains including Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook Counties and beyond. Bend is the primary population center of our region. COSW provides the ability to network, share, learn and teach weaving, spinning and other fiber arts with others who share the same passion. In addition to general meetings the guild holds monthly spinning and weaving study groups, a tatting study group, and such other study groups as members are interested in from time to time.  All members have access to a wonderful library and may rent  weaving equipment from the Guild. See our Calendar of Events for meeting times and places, as well as guild-sponsored workshops and other regional events of interest. Membership is open to anyone who is interested in fiber arts and their creation. See Membership for details on how to join and annual dues.

To foster the arts of weaving and spinning,

to stimulate further interest in the craftsDSCN2413
for those who are already engaged in them,
and to stimulate interest in the crafts for others.

We attempt to hold 2 workshops a year for our members, one focusing on weaving and one on spinning. As part of our community out-reach the Guild members demonstrate spinning and weaving in the at county fair every year.
